Honey comb embossing machine.
Cell size: 5.4mm
Width of the roller: 235mm
Materials used: PLA (Poly Lactic Acid) filament, Bio Pro filament, metal & wood.
Instructions
Before using the embosser, slightly wet the rollers and pre-rollers with soapy water. Have a pointy knife on hand to help the first sheet off the rollers once it has passed through the machine.
Its is important to keep your plain wax sheets in warmish water (30+ ºc) and use a warm room (min 20ºc) when making the foundation. It might take a bit of experimenting before you find the sweet-spot for the perfect foundation. Please see our videos below.
Occasionally there will be small bits of wax sticking to the rollers and can cause an unevenness in the comb pattern. To clean the rollers use the tip of the knife to clean between the cell pattern or gently pour hot, but not boiling, water on the rollers to dissolve the wax. Make sure not to get the hot water on anything other than the rollers. These rollers are made out of heat resistant plastic and can take up to 95ºc for short period of time. The rest of the body will withstand a maximum of 60ºc for a very short time before deforming.
If it happens that you accidentally damage your embosser, we have all the parts in stock. Just drop us a message and we’ll do our very best to sort you out.
